Librettist RunLibrettist Sits in Top 20 List for First Season Sire (AUS)

Westbury's ex-shuttle sire, Librettist (pictured), currently sits in the Australian top 20 first season sires list for the 2011-12 racing season.

The dual Group 1 winning son of Danzig has found himself ahead of some highly regarded sires including Dylan Thomas and Street Sense.

Librettist is currently represented by four individual winners in Australia including the dual winner Classical Melody who has recorded a further three placings from her eight career starts.

A two-year-old son of Librettist in Carried Away was also an impressive winner this season when winning on his first career outing by 2 ½ lengths.

Closer to home last start winner Jimmer Time is currently enjoying a spell following an impressive performance to claim a well-deserved victory in a two-year-old handicap at Ellerslie over 1300m in March.

The Tony Pike & Mark Donoghue trained Faust has shown serious ability late in the season having run strong placings in both his two race day starts, and connections look hopeful for a promising three-year-old season ahead.

Librettist was an extremely talented race horse having won 7 of his first 8 career starts of which included two victories at the highest level in France - the Gr.1 Prix Jaques Le Marois (a race current standing sire Makfi won also) and the Gr.1 Prix du Moulin de Longchamp.
