Swiss PrecisionPrecision Timing for Swiss Ace Filly

Hastings trainer John Bary will be hoping he has the timing right for 3YO filly Swiss Precision as she steps to black type company for the first time in the $70,000 Group 3 Metroclad-Terracade Desert Gold Stakes at Trentham tomorrow.

Swiss Precision has had three starts at three, running a good third first up at Awapuni to the smart Rock on Wood (Redwood) who finished a fast finishing fourth in last week’s Levin Classic, before winning her last two starts at Waipukarau and Hastings respectively. Swiss Precision’s last start victory on her home track was full of merit leading throughout and pulling away strongly from the promising Te Akau trained colt Wandering Eye (Commands) over the 1400m.

The Swiss Ace filly should have no problem with the 1600m journey of the Desert Gold Stakes being out of 10 time winning mare With Ice (Snowland) who won from 1100m to 2000m in Sydney, while her second dam is the Dash O’Pleasure mare Sandy’s Pleasure who won the VRC Oaks at 2500m.

Swiss Precision was bred by Nearco Stud, is raced by Adrian Clark’s Challenge No.7 Syndicate, and will be ridden by Northern apprentice Sam Weatherley in tomorrow’s Group 3 feature.
