miss jQueensland Oaks Appeals to Reliable Man Filly

A daughter of Reliable Man, She’s Reliable, lines up for her first black type assignment tomorrow at Doomben in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks and her recent form indicates the step up to 2200m could be just her style.

The lightly raced She’s Reliable has been steadily increasing her distance with each race and in turn improving her race performance. In her first two starts she finished midfield over 1350m and following this was a third placing over 1625m and her most recent start two weeks ago saw her win over 1800m.

Bred by Gerry Harvey, her pedigree is a good indication she should do well at this distance with her dam Miss Juventus (by Anabaa) a winner at 2100m and Reliable Man a winner from 2000m to 2400m including the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes and the Group 1 French Derby.

Trained by Kelly Schweida, she is raced by Mr D Weston, Mrs G Weston, Mr M McMahon and Mrs S McMahon and tomorrow she will be ridden by James Orman starting from barrier 11 and is set to run at 5.37pm (NZST).

She’s Reliable was sold through Westbury Stud’s draft at the 2016 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale and went to the bid of Tony Noonan for AUD$95,000.

Westbury Stud will offer three yearlings by Reliable Man at the upcoming Gold Coast National Yearling Sale, view Westbury’s draft here.
