BonnevalIt Keeps Getting Better

We had a number of nice horses step out during the past 12 months and we thought it was appropriate to do a little “round up” of the 2017-18 season from a Westbury perspective.

Best Miler Romancer Talented galloper who was unlucky in Concorde Handicap Gr.3 before running third in Easter Handicap Gr.2.
Best Sprinting Performer Julius One of the sprinting finds of last season winning both the Darley Plate & Concorde Handicap.
Best Three-Year-Old Win Beauty Win Posted a most impressive record in Hong Kong last season with 4 wins and 2 seconds from 7 starts.
Best Two-Year-Old Peaceful Stakes winning 2YO who can only get better this season.
Best Overseas Performance Bonneval Fantastic effort to defeat Hartnell, Gailo Chop, Single Gaze, & Black Heart Bart in the Group 1 Underwood Stakes.

Austria 4YO Redwood-Margravine A Sharrock Unraced but has plenty of talent and one to follow in the late spring.
Bonneval 5YO Makfi-Imposingly M Baker/A Forsman Reigning Horse of the Year and outstanding mare, back in work in a new preparation geared towards Melbourne.
Conspirator 4YO Swiss Ace-Rasiowa S Ritchie Has shown good ability in his first preparation, look to him making into a good stayer next season.
Julius 6YO Swiss Ace-Oh So Royal J Bell Getting better with age and has been in outstanding form this past season. Serious sprinter.
Lord Arthur 3YO Camelot-Imposingly M Baker/A Forsman Unraced half-brother to Champion racemare Bonneval. By exciting international sire and has won a trial as a 2YO.
Night's Watch 5YO Redwood-Glory Run DK Weir Smart galloper in top stable, won five races last preparation and coming up well for a spring campaign.
Peaceful 3YO Savabeel-Paloma M Baker/A Forsman Smart 2YO last season and heading for bigger things as a 3YO.
Red Cloud 4YO Postponed-Lady Mulroy F Auret Lightly raced 4YO who has won his last two starts, can make a nice staying prospect.
Red Sierra 5YO Redwood-Sierra Gold D & E Haworth Has been one of the find of the winter and can win a nice race during late winter and spring.
Romancer 5YO Redwood-Romancer DK Weir Stakes winner and Group 2 placed gelding now with Weir stable, interesting prospect for spring.
Romani Girl 3YO Reliable Man-Gypsy Jewels CJ Waller Unraced but trialled up nicely for Waller stableand one to watch in the spring.
Rose Bowl 4YO Swiss Ace-Beaver Creek R Manning Promising maiden who won't take long to break throug.
Slow Hands 4YO Reliable Man-Ready and Able A Scott/L O'Sullivan Lightly raced gelding with plenty of ability. One to follow this summer.
Suliman 5YO Redwood-Red Mariete G Richardson/G Parker Promising stayer and this will be his year.
Superich 4YO Red Giant-Daly Charm F Lor Freakish Hong Kong sprinter and one who can win them in a row next season.
Win Beauty Win 4YO Makfi-Mandeville P O'Sullivan Exciting three-year-old heading for the top grade, will be even better next season.
