Postponed scored a notable double at Trentham on Saturday when Not Tonite and Late Cuddle both saluted the judge just a week out from the 2010 New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sales at Karaka.

The Westbury Stud stallion Postponed will be represented by 33 lots over the sales series including Lot 131 a chestnut colt from the Flying Spur mare Riverine in the Premier Sale, who is an impressive, strong type and is closely related to recent Australian blacktype performer, Alverta.

The progeny of Postponed have been well sought after at recent sales and the young sire has already proven himself having left two Group 1 winners from his first crop and a host of other handy horses on the rise.

Trained by David Haworth and Matt Dixon, Not Tonite notched his sixth win from 21 starts on Saturday taking his earning in excess of $108,000 for his breeder Auckland business Mike Lum.

Not Tonite was allowed to settle back on the rail by rider Mark Du Plessis before he angled him clear in the straight for a convincing win over his rivals which included former Gr.1 Two Thousand Guineas winner and favourite, The Pooka.

The day ended on a high when the lethal trainer/jockey combination of Allan Sharrock and Michael Walker combined with Late Cuddle to win the last race on the card for the Racehorse Breeders Syndicate number 11.

The four-year-old daughter of Postponed has always been well thought of by Sharrock and his judgment was justified when the lightly raced mare dug deep to win by a head on track conditions she did not appear overly happy in.

The victory was well deserved as Sharrock and Late Cuddle's Taranaki based owners have been fans of the stock of Postponed having supported the stallion at stud consistently for the last three seasons.
