Postponed has had three breeding boosts over the past week culminating with a winner this afternoon.

Last Friday at the "Dawning of a New Era" luncheon, Westbury Stud principal Gerry Harvey announced his plan to throw his support behind Postponed who he now shares in the ownership of.

Postponed joined the Westbury Stud roster last season after a period at Stoney Bridge and made an impression early in his stud career with three group one performers from his first crop.

Dorabella, Farson and Pasta Post all saluted the judge at the highest level and it is unfortunate that we never got to see the best of Gr.2 winning juvenile Naturo or how good the injury plagued Pasta Post was.

Harvey said he would send 50 of his mares to Postponed this coming breeding season after being impressed on seeing the son of Summer Squall in the flesh.

The impact of this support was highlighted two days later when Super Satin romped home with the Gr.1 Hong Kong Derby for Caspar Fownes.

The son of Danehill Dancer was bred by Harvey and is out of his English imported mare, Mantles Princess.

Mantles Princess was one of a dozen mares Harvey sent to Postponed last season and is now safely infoal to him with a Zabeel filly at foot.

There was then a hint of what is to come at the trials yesterday when two unraced Postponed's were both successful in their respective heats.

At Cambridge the David Miller trained Quinns Post had three lengths over his closet rivals in a maiden 950 metre heat.

While at Foxton it was a two-year-old from Hahei having his first appearance for Hamish Auret that flashed home late to score his 800 metre event.

Today at Matamata Dolce Bella scored an upset victory in the juvenile race for local trainer Jason Bridgman.

Dolce Bella was having her third raceday start after winning at the trials prior to her debut behind Captain Rio gelding Sirrio back in December.

The filly is out of the former good racemare Boulevardofdreams who contested the Hollywood Oaks for her trainers Wayne and Vanessa Hillis.
