Captain Rio recorded another winner across the Tasman yesterday when No Brainer posted his third career win.

The Stephen Theodore trained gelding was an impressive three and a half length winner of the $15,000 Independent Cranes Hcp R68 1309m at Seymour in the hands of former South Island hoop Jarrod Todd.

No Brainer was unlucky last time out when checked at the 300 metres and had to be content with third but showed yesterday that more success was in store.

Westbury Stud offered No Brainer through the 2007 Magic Millions Premier Yearling Sale and he was knocked to his trainer for $50,000.

No Brainer is the third foal from the Celestial Dancer mare Madison Girl and is a half brother to the unraced Faltaat gelding Brokeback Mountain who co-trainer David Haworth has a lot of time for.

Captain Rio arrives back at Westbury next week in readiness for the breeding season that begins on 1 September, he once again stands for a very reasonable $7,500 + GST.
