Win Beauty WinWin Beauty Win for O’Sullivan/Purton Combo

Makfi three-year-old Win Beauty Win will look to keep Zac Purton in sight of Joao Moreira in the battle for the Hong Kong Jockey’s Title when he steps out in the HK$1,310,000 The Stevenson Cup over 1400m. Purton has been in superlative form of late posting a five-timer at Happy Valley recently and the Jockey’s Title is starting to look close as the season draws to the end.

Win Beauty Win has looked a topliner in the making winning 3 of his 5 starts for Paul O’Sullivan and owner Kitty Kwok Sea Nga – his remaining two starts heralding a second and a fourth – including the valuable Griffin Trophy worth HK$2,000,000. Win Beauty Win resumed from a let up three weeks ago with Chad Schofield keeping the saddle warm for Purton after the later was serving a suspension, and could not have been more impressive as he stormed down the centre of the track to win over 1200m and win convincingly from the heavily backed Hezthewonforus (Sufficient-Party Queen, by Gold Brose) trained by John Size.

The pair (Win Beauty Win & Hezthewonforus) will meet again on Sunday with Hezthewonforus (Joao Moreira) the benefactor on the weights with a swing of 1.8kg in his favour, but the step up to 1400m will definitely play into the hands of Win Beauty Win who won the Griffin Trophy over the same trip at a distance more to his liking. The race will be a great spectacle with two promising three-year-olds pitted against one and other, and the Purton v. Moreira challenge set to continue.
