Jolly HonourReliable Man 3YO Wins at Randwick for Chris Waller

Reliable Man’s son Jolly Honour stepped up to a middle distance in the best possible fashion at Randwick on Saturday when he put up an impressive performance to come from back in the field to race away for a comfortable win in the A$100,000 Handicap over 2000m under Tye Angland.

Trained by Sydney’s leading trainer Chris Waller, Jolly Honour added to a growing list of winners for the son of Dalakhani and became the fourth individual winner by Reliable Man from the Waller stable in recent weeks. Jolly Honour has been very consistent in his career to date with a total of eight starts resulting in two wins and five placings and the manner in which he handled his first attempt past 1600m would indicate he has a bright future as a middle distance horse going forward.

Out of the Ferocity mare Vexed, Jolly Honour was bred by renowned Australian businessman and racing identity Rob Ferguson and was reared at Michelle Norman’s Kilmore Farm in Matamata before heading to Bradbury Park for his yearling preparation.

In recent weeks Reliable Man has been represented by a string of winners including Jolly Honour, Ombudsman, Twilighter, McMahon, Reevederci, Miss Dusty, She’s Reliable, Grey Eminence, White Shield, Mr Trump, Reliabelle; while earlier in the season the stallion produced a number of quality three-year-olds in Main Stage, Sully, Belle du Nord, Kapoor, Gris Dame, Czechoslovakia, Slow Hands, Greenspan, Reliable Dame, & Lilas – all from his first crop.
