Peaceful Te RapaPeaceful Returns

Talented Savabeel filly Peaceful returns to the track this weekend in the Listed O’Leary Fillies Stakes at Wanganui when she meets a talented field of three-year-old fillies over 1200m.

Bred by Gerry Harvey from the Mossman mare Paloma, Peaceful had five starts at two winning the Listed ARC Futurity Stakes and recording three other placings for her connections. Peaceful is sure to take good benefit from her race on Saturday but the filly shouldn’t be underestimated from barrier one and her recent trial at Te Rapa is sure to have brought her on as far as fitness goes, regular pilot Matthew Cameron will be in the saddle.

Peaceful was a $260,000 purchase at Karaka for Bruce Perry on behalf of owners G P Clarke, JML Bloodstock Ltd (Mgr: L Petagna) & P W O'Rourke and has already justified her purchase price with her black type victory at two, while safely through Saturday there is every chance that Peaceful will be given the opportunity to show her skills in Australia against the best of her age across the Tasman.

Peaceful has a younger half-brother (by El Roca) who was a A$210,000 yearling and is in training with Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott, while the stud will offer a full brother to Peaceful at Karaka in January and her dam Paloma has just been covered again by Savabeel.
