ReevederciReevederci Makes Seasonal Debut

The Reliable Man gelding Reevederci will make his seasonal debut in the $50,000 Listed Cambridge Stud Northland Breeder’s Stakes on Saturday and encounters a strong field for his first run back as a three-year-old with Group 1 winner Sword of Osman heading the field and promising geldings Jon Wick and Madison County also down to contest the black type feature.

Trained by Lance Noble, Reevederci is raced by his breeders Brendan & Jo Lindsay, and has only raced on the one occasion, scoring an emphatic 8.5 length win at Avondale in early June. The grey gelding appears to have made good progress physically since his two-year-old days and looked in good shape when trialling at Te Teko recently where he finished fourth behind Astor, Sistabeel, and Rangipo.

Reevederci is out of the Danehill Dancer mare Sussex Dancer who has had four runners to the races for four winners including the talented Zabell, Scooter O’Reilly, and the Darren Weir-trained Hectopascal. Sussex Dancer is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Ice Queen who was finished second in the Irish Oaks, while the family is a high class international pedigree which includes Last Tycoon, Zipping, Immortal Verse, The Perfect Life, Flowerdrum, Zelding, The United States etc.

Reevederci will undoubtedly take improvement from his outing on Saturday but class will take him a long way and he is sure to be force to be reckoned with when he gets to 1600m and further.
