Peaceful WangaPeaceful Looking to Atone for Setback

Stakes winning filly Peaceful (Savabeel-Paloma) will look to make up for lost time when she steps out in the Listed Antler Luggage Stakes over 1400m at Flemington on Saturday.

It was intended to run the Murray Baker/Andrew Forsman trained filly last Sunday in the Thousand Guineas Prelude until she was found to be stiff on the morning of the races and withdrawn from the Group 3 event. Tomorrow’s race will be the first Australian start for Peaceful and will give her trainers a clear indication of the pathway they take over the ensuing weeks. Peaceful carries nominations for both the One Thousand Guineas to be run on 13 October and the VRC Oaks to be run on 8 November.

Peaceful is a dual black type winner in New Zealand and will have the services of Damian Lane in tomorrow’s race.
