Livin’ On a Prayer has had 5 wins and 5 placings from her 15 career starts and the daughter of Redwood looks assured of winning a good race at short notice. Regular rider Cameron Lammas will be reunited with Livin’ On a Prayer after being unavailable at her last start.
Among Livin’ On a Prayer’s rivals tomorrow is the talented sprinter Passing Shot who returns to Riccarton looking for some just revenge after just missing out on a win in the Group 3 Stewards Handicap last year. Although a 7YO, Passing Shot appears to have come up very well again this season and has had two trials to fit him for his outing on Saturday, winning the most recent of these at Te Aroha.
Raced by Go Racing’s Go Racing the Ace Syndicate, Passing Shot has been trained throughout his career by Stephen McKee, winning 10 races and been placed a further 10 times with $376,000 in stakes – and quite amazingly Passing Shot has filled a first five spot at 31 of his 44 starts!
