Night’s Watch A Chance at Caulfield23 Feb 2019
The very good son of Redwood continues his campaign towards the $1.5 million Australian Cup with Night’s Watch entered to start in today’s Group 2 Carlton Draught Peter Young Stakes at Caulfield.
Night’s Watch returned to the track earlier this month where he ran on to place in the Group 3 Carlyon Cup which was his first run since being transferred to the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace’s stable.
Race rival Avilius trained by James Cummings took the win in the Carlyon Cup and today he looks to be the favourite with the son of Redwood close behind with very good odds he will be in the finish. Regular rider Damian Lane is aboard today with the pair jumping from barrier 6 in the famous OTI Racing colours.
Bred by Gerry Harvey who retained an interest in the horse, Night’s Watch is owned by OTI Racing, Mr J B Hart, Mr M J Davies, Mrs B Wood, Mr P N Kean, Mr A Cox, Mr T N Porter, Mrs B E Porter, Mr W S Pelchen, Mrs V L Pelchen, Mr J P Spence, Mrs J T Spence and Uthmeyer Racing, and winning eight races to date including the Group 3 Naturalism Stakes and placing on five occasions he has won over A$467,000 in prizemoney.« Back
