ComebackComeback Completes Memorable Week for his Dam

Makfi gelding Comeback made it a memorable week for his dam Intelligentsia (Danzero) when he scored his second win in eight days taking out $30,000 Thee Auld Floozie Premier over 1400m at Trentham on Saturday for owner/breeder Gerry Harvey, trainers Team Rogerson, and young stable apprentice Shiarna Johnson.

Not to be outdone by his younger brother, Comeback’s older sibling The Chaser (Swiss Ace) made it a successful week for their dam when winning at Matamata during the week for Waiuku trainers Moira & Kieran Murdoch winning his third race from just 12 starts. Comeback was recording the fifth win from 19 starts and with a further six placings to his credit his stakes earnings have surpassed the $92,000 mark. The four-year-old looks to have more than his share of ability and could well have a profitable few months ahead of him before the tracks get too heavy.

Their dam Intelligentisa was a handy racemare in her own right, winning three of her twenty starts in Australia and stakes placed on two occasions, while her second dam Sharp Enough (Kaapstad) also won on three occasions and is a half-sister to the dual Group 1 winner (and sire) Keeninsky (Stravinsky), Cosmic Cube (Dehere) LW, and Group 2 placed Most Immediate (Red Ransom).

Intelligentsia carries a positive test to Street Cry’s young sire Telperion.
