Swiss Ace gelding Passing Shot will look to take his win tally to twelve in tomorrow’s Listed NZB Finance Sprint at Hawkes Bay.
A $50,000 yearling purchase by the Go Racing team, Passing Shot has been an excellent performer for his connections winning up to Group 3 level and being close up in a Group 1 company when fourth in both the Manawatu Sire’s Produce Stakes and the Telegraph Handicap.
Trained by Stephen McKee at Ardmore, Passing Shot will be ridden by top hoop Johnathan Parkes. The combination were successful at Hawkes Bay when winning the open sprint on Lowland Stakes day and tomorrow’s race looks ready made for the capable sprinter.
Passing Shot has won 11 races and recorded a first five placing at 36 of his 51 starts for more than $410,000 in stakes.
Out of the Danehill mare Derrydane, Passing Shot has a two-year-old brother who made $180,000 as a yearling, while his dam has a Swiss Ace yearling and a weanling filly by Reliable Man.« Back
