R HunterWestbury Sired Juveniles Take to Castletown Stakes

Three Westbury sired two-year-old's will compete against each other in Saturday's Listed John Turkington Forestry Ltd Castletown Stakes 1200 at Wanganui, Reliable Hunter (by Reliable Man), She's A Lady (by Swiss Ace) and Familia (by Makfi).

Making his debut will be the Shaune Ritchie trained Reliable Hunter following two impressive trials for first and second. The grey colt was purchased by Ritchie at the Karaka Yearling Sales for Hong Kong owner C L A Chan and will be ridden by Chris Johnson from barrier 10.

Last start winner She's A Lady has been competitive in her four starts finishing fifth in the Group 2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes and fourth in the Listed Splice Construction 2YO Stakes. Bred and owned by Cliff Matson and K Dansted, the Swiss Ace filly is trained by Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman and will be starting from barrier 5 with Shaun McKay taking the ride.

Former Westbury stallion Makfi is the sire of another notable filly to contest the stakes, Familia, bred and owned by Brendan and Jo Lindsay. The Makfi filly has had one start for one win and takes her place in the race with jockey Cameron Lammas onboard for trainer Lance Noble.
